Summary:
Compensation and benefits are critical pieces in the Human Resources puzzle. They impact staffing decisions, budgetary allocations and are a key part of the short and long term strategic planning in any organization. To begin, R&P will compare changes in wages and employment between Wyoming's 2009 economic downturn and the current downturn for industries relevant to the Energy Chapter's members, including mining, oil & gas, financial activities, health services, and government. R&P will then review the most data regarding employer benefits, including medical insurance, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement, as well as trends in employer satisfaction with new hires. The presentation will conclude with an overview of online resources available to HR and recruiting professionals through Research & Planning, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and O*Net OnLine.
