    Ms. Christine M. Kuehnast, Esg., of Mountain State Employer's Council, will present this one hour session, we will discuss the overlap of the ADA, FMLA and Worker’s Compensation.  We will review what each law was intended to cover and how to apply it. One, two or all three laws can apply in dealing with an injured employee.   In addition, we will discuss the recent updates to the FMLA regulations, the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act, and the ADAAA’s new regulations, and how it affects the application of these three leave laws.  Finally, we will discuss some practical ways to handle the changes in the law.

    Ms. Kuehnast is an attorney licensed in Colorado and Wyoming and have been licensed to practice law for 7.5 years. She has been an employment law services staff attorney with MSEC for about 3.5 years.

    This program has been approved for 1 (General ) recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.
